Welcome to FTE kylef150,
Did you tune up the truck lately?
A full tune up will help your MPG.
Change your filters
plugs
wires
cap
rotor
tire pressures
etc.
You have a great set up on your truck, a set up that is missed by alot of truck enthusiasts.
use compression braking. do all the above mentioned stuff and run a can of seafoam or injector cleaner through it. a free flowing exhaust and intake will gain you a few mpg (and power). if you dont wanna swap intakes at least get a high flow filter. Switch all lubricants to synthetics for a minimal improvement. if you do alot of driving you can open up the gapping on the new plugs for alittle mor spark.
I have a 92 300 I6 and get around 23 hwy and 18 city. my trick was
K&N ( the full free flow kind not the one still in the stock air box )
Flow master Cat back
Intake spacer
and keeping it tuned up
ya right now i have the cat witch is proly going after its getting its yearly e-test but right no it is the cat and then stock size pipe out till infront of the pasenger side rear tire
ya i need to do a tune up on it but its guna be sitting for a month or two cause we dont drive it enuf in the winter and our other truck douse all the running around in the winter and the car so it sits in the driveway and i need to get a whole new distributer cause the one on there the old owners used wood screws to hold down the cap so its only held on by one screw so thats proly some of my problem but im guna play around with it in the spring or maby this winter
thanks kyle.m
