Casting number??
Quick questions fer ya's. Where in the world is the casting number on the 300 heads 
I had a customer come by with one and we could not find it ANYWHERE. So I thought I'd ask you guys for future reference.
1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then. :-staun

Casting number??
It's right were you'd never look: at the t-stat housing mating surface, right above it there's a ridge. The number is cast in the underside of the ridge. So, if you flip the head over (chamber side up) check out the ridge at the t-stat opening. They're usually tough to read, even harder when installed, in the truck.
