you can click on the link below to get an idea of the sound difference. the "after" video on mine is with the cat deleted.
Turn your sound WAY up and you will most definately hear a difference. This, however, only hints at the sound you will hear going down the road at WOT.
My main goal was heat reduction, the sound was a pleasant bonus.
I thought it might cross over into the "obnoxious" range if i went straight pipe all the way. The way it is now is a good blend of mellow at light throttle and a sharp, throaty growl at WOT.
I'll try and capture some underway video to try and show it off better.

I have a JOBE intake and 4" MBRP T back with cat delete pipe and MBRP muffler. The tailpipe sound is great and the turbo whine turns heads no matter where I am. When my X idles it sounds like a small jet engine at idle.
Funny story. I had a COP pull up behind me at the Navy base where I work and ask me how I got my turbo to whine so loud. We had a long discussion and I showed him my mods. Then he said he had a Dodge and did not know why his truck did not whine like mine. Man did I bite my lower lip hard.

Mine is straight piped and it is definitely in the "obnoxious" range at WOT. Even more so with the tuning.
I have already noticed with my exhaust with the cat still in there was hardly any temp drop, matter of fact I kinda wonder if it didn't go up just a bit. I realize the cat is a slight restriction to the rest of the exhaust, but it shouldn't be that much should it? How hard is it to remove the cat delete pipe and put the cat back in?? It took me jsut over 3 hours to put the turbo back mbrp on, if that helps determine how fast I could change a cat in and out.
FASTCOTE: I figured you had the muffler in from the sound. Using a muff delete pipe will get you some more whistle. I'll post my exhaust video link and maybe use an angle like you did for your video for a new video.
FIREMAN660R: I could swap in my cat back in place in under 30 mins. Just prep everything the day prior and it's easy.
FORDSDOWNER: Didn't mean to get this post off track but it's up to you and your local laws. I will always suggest using a system that will allow you to remove/reinstall the cat as desired for the sound or warranty work. My truck has more whistle than FASTCOTE, mixed in with some serious airflow sound from the tail pipe. She rumbles really nice at 2200-2400 rpms.
I forgot to mention in my post that my videos were shot on different days. the AFTER video was shot on a really windy day (notice the leaves blowing by. My video cam really cuts the audio down when there is wind. That all but eliminated the high frequency turbine sounds in the recording.
