Well my 97 F150 looks good again. 3 weeks ago I hit a concrete base of a light pole and mangled the front bumper. I ended up hitting on the passenger side dead center on the frame. The frame mushroomed and I also broke the mounts for the fog light. I was able to get the truck fixed for $390. They guy I took it to found a used bumper from a 98 Expedition but the upper pad didn't match so he reused the one that was on the truck. Amazingly it never got hit.

No it didn't damage the tow hook at all. The guy who fixed the truck is the same guy I bought it from. He told me he likes the ford tow hooks because of the closed loop design. The truck frame did get hit. It didn't bend it all, but it did mushroom the end.
