clutch pedel adj.

i have a 1989 f-150 , put in a new clutch master cylinder and slyve cylinder bleed the slave cylender and still the pedel has a good inch and a half play clutch won;t ingage help

you used to be able to get an adustable clutch cyl. that would help.(probally only from Ford). check for any flexing in the firewall where the cyl. mounts. that was a common problem. The clutch disc could just be wore out too.

Check for a cracked floor where the master cyl for the clutch mounts. the floor flexes and cracks where the cyl is and when you push the peddle in the entire cyl moves due to the cracked floor, the cracked area has to be braced and welded or brazed, I know I had the same problem as you and traced it to cracks. I brazed the floor and braced it.
