Question Tachometer Sending Sensor

Howdy. I have decided I finally want to fix my tachometer which has not worked since I've had my truck. About once a year it will sporadically jump around for about a day, and then show no more signs of life. The wires coming out of the sensor in the IP housing are bare, so I'm guessing that I need to replace it. Can anyone tell me the proper nomenclature for the part and where to find it online? Thanks in advance.

Do a search of my posts recently.. pretty sure I have posted that info within the last 2 weeks...... not at my computer at this time. It is a ford only part......

You could cut the wire(s) and slide a piece of shrink tube on one/both of the wires and solder the wire back together. May save $50.....

Ford Part number:
E5TZ-17B384-A

I was only able to find at the dealer. I think it lists for about $59. The first Ford dealer I go to was out of stock, and sent me to another dealer a bit further away. They tried to charge me $109 for it, until I mentioned the $59 price. Suddenly the price changed to $59.

Hope this helps.
