axle splines

is their any way that i can id the axle splines on my 1996 f-150 300efi 5 speed 8.8 rear without pulling the axels thanks.

You can pull the cover on the rear diff and you should be able to see them there...

axle splines

All trucks with the 8.8 got 31 spline axles. The only way to look at them is to pull an axle out. The only part you can see with the cover removed is the little nub that catches on the C-clipl, which won't do much good.
