Stuttering 2.3L Engine
I have a 2001 Ranger with a 2.3L and 5spd. The engine has 61,000 miles on it. Each time I shift around 3,000 rpm the engine begins to stutter and bog down. A co-worker suggested that I change the spark plugs. It seems to do this in all gears. It doesn't matter if the engine is cold or warmed up. Do you have any suggestions or advice. Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't need plugs at that mileage in normal usage. A couple tanks of gas with a fuel injector cleaner additive might help as well. I've never used it but I know others in the forum swear by Seafoam treatments as well.

Just use 2 bottles of heet and 2 bottles of iso heet, It is way cheaper than sea foam
