FYI anybody with a 2006 f250 2wd better check your front wheel bearing and pack them before 75k! 2006 f250 with 87k(well maintained) just lost inner bearing and trashed spindle.(no warning until damage was done), very little grease from oem and has rust and moisture contamination in dust caps! truck has only seen water when its washed and raining no high water conditions ever! comments

Bummer, never a fun adventure. Not wanting to rub salt in the wound, but if you check the FMC recommended service interval, Front wheel bearings are to be repacked and seals replaced every 60K miles (2WD) under normal operating conditions.
Hey blackhat620 no problem! I work and service vehicles ( this one also) ever heard the saying you can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink! case in point! But I am dissappointed in the lack of bearing pack from oem and still the rusting and moisture contamination in the hub itself knowing that it has not been sitting in water at anytime! I have seen water run out of drivelines joints and suspension parts and oil bath bearing hubs. But i can not recall contamination of water and rusting in properly packed wheel hub assembly! HINT Oh by the way looking up parts for these are a B!@#$!
Also to not rub salt in the wound .
But it is common to get water or moisture drawn into or created by heat and running throught rain puddles. its a fact.rapid cooling will cause moisture
Its been doing this for years.
the strange part for you is no warning on a pending failure and destroying the spindle
