intake help!!!
ok dumb question time...I'm fighting with a smoking issuse..motor has about 1500 miles on it runs great sounds great etc but smokes at different times..I think it's leaking oil past my intake so my question is has anyone used the edelbrock gaskets? these look nice..also when i put my intake on last time i used the end gaskets but noticed a huge gap at the front of the intake..not sure if the gap was there without those gaskets in place but definatly there after...the intake should be sitting flush right? Anyhow hopefully this will cure it..gonna also check the intake to make sure it's not warped that gap has got me thinking now..of course it went away after tighten everything but still..let me knw what you guys think

Well I for one dont use end gaskets....... Blue Felpro makes a good intake and head gasket for a stock build.....as far as end gaskets..I clean the bottom of the intake real well with brake clean, and the edge of the block where it will make contact with brake clean....
I run a 3/8" plus bead across the block and let it set over night 12hrs....and then set the intake square in in one shot...too the block and heads....and run the sequeance down on the torque pattern...
