Hi, I recently bought an 03 F-350SD with the 6.0 Powerstroke Diesel. Last night I was pulling a boat trailor and heard a load pop and than lost RPM's and could not exceed 2500RPM's. The truck is at the dealer now but I'm getting bad vibes from the service mgr. Can anyone please get me an OASIS report on VIN # 1FTWW32P33EB37302. If anyone can get this and/or shed any light on this please let me know. Thanks very much, George
sounds like it just blew one of the intercooler boots off. not that uncommon, and about a 2 minute fix. on the worse side you could of blown out one of the intercooler tanks put that normally doesnt happen on a stock truck
i agree with wlihntr sounds like one of your boots on the cooler popped off or ripped. typically you'll loose power, start throwin balck smoke outta your pipe, and you'll hear the turbo whistle real loud under boost. Hopefully it's just the silicone boot and not a blown turbo or something. keep us posted gval.
Thanks Guys!!!
Just got back from the dealer and indeed the clamp loosened and the boot came off. You guys hit it right on the nose. Great board, great input! Thanks Again
No Problem I used to wrench at a freightliner dealership and have seen it many times, plus had it happen to me on a few road tests. Glad thats all it was and definitely come to the sight first for exactly what happend. Take care
