What will fit?
I have a 99 xlt 4x4 with the 4.0, and i need a rear end. There is a 91 4x4 explorer for sale for parts. Anyone know if the rear end will fit? I know I will have to check on the gear ratios, but thought I would check to see if it will fit before I call the guy.

I'm not sure about '91 Explorer, but '89 explorer had propeller shaft with U-joint retained to rear end with 2 U-bolts. In the beggining of 90-s ford started installing prop. shafts with flange holding with 4 8mm bolts. If your explorer with U-bolts, just remove lange fron your drive shaft.
