I don't understand the need for under drive pulleys on a 4.9
The purpose of under drive pulleys is to slow the speed of accessorys to keep them from running real fast and robbing engine power. This could work on a high reving engine, but the 4.9 is a very low RPM engine. Mine runs pretty well, but it rarely sees RPM's above 2000, and I can't imagine someone being silly enough to take it above 3000 rpms.
The benefit of underdrive pulleys at those crank speeds would be negligible at best, and could slow water pump and fan enough to cause overheating problems in traffic.
There has got to be a better way to spend money on a truck in my opinion.
