My daughter was riding with me today in the front passenger side of the explorer. She was resting one of her feet on a plastic oblong canister, one end has a connector on it, when it broke away from it's support housing. I am not sure if the the plastic support is broke but can someone tell me what it is and how expensive is it to replace?
That's the vacuum reservoir for the climate control system. If it's broken or leaking you probably won't be able to switch between dash/panel/floor with the ac or heat, especially under acceleration. If it's not broken or leaking you can probably figure out a way to strap it up out of the way under the dash.
