Interesting Observations

Went on a 800 mile trip this weekend with no load,no trailer, It was mostly interstate so I had a good opportunity to watch the new gauges. Started out the first 200 miles with cruise control on and egt's were were around 700, boost was around 5, transmission never got above 150 160 for the entire trip.
Milage( hand calculated) was 17.5. All driving was on the 80 hp econo tune from DP
The rest of the trip 600 miles I used my foot, I got 18.5 mpg, boost stayed between 3-5, but the egts went down to the 500-600 range. Both with cruise and my foot I stayed at approx 72 to 75 mph. the only thing I can come up with is that on cruise control it keeps a steady/locked positon regardless of terrain to keep the speed you select and with your foot you tend to feather the accelerator. Anyone else notice this or am I just being **** hahaha.
Also in my other post about the hiccups, after I bent the harness on the Valve cover, I did not have any other hiccups for the entire trip, I did stop in at a ford Dealership about an hour from home and bought a CPS sensor just in case, $27.00.

I've notised especially in hill and mountain terain I get better furl milage without cruise
really don't know about level land cause I always run cruise
think you're right about it being feathering the throttle that does it
in cruise i think it tends to give it heavier throttle to make up speed;Inoticed on hills in cruise it would downshift more offen than with foot
