Can anyone help with this? 1str Does anyone know what type of pwr steering this is. Right now it's on a 53 panel. The pwr steering fluid is leaking from the where the rack mounts onto the pitman arm knuckle. Can this be rebuilt or a seal replaced or am I over my head? Any help will do.
Thanks, Bob
On 1953/64 FoMoCo passenger cars and F100/250's thru 1966 with link type power steering, the control valve doesn't attach to the Pitman arm like your system does, it attaches to the drag link. The boss on the control valve that the hoses feed off of is definitely not car or light truck.
The F500 and larger trucks used a system like this, as did other manufacturers. The unit can be rebuilt by a shop that specializes in this sort of thing. There may be a manufacturers name on the control valve, there may not be.

I would take it off and take to a rebuild shop. Someone who works on clutches, does machine work on engines, etc. It can't be very complicated and they should be able to find some seals that match up even if they can't identify a manufacturer.
