i have been posting here about a few things like some noises that my truck is making but my next question is when warm or cold it sounds like there is more than normal valve or lifter noise it does not seem as loud under load the reason i ask is that on some of the posts i have heard there sound bites and mine sounds a little louder than theres any help (truck is stock)
Your 2000 V10 might be one of the early motors that had piston slap noises... usually this is not an issue and is no biggie with it goes away once fully warmed up
It is possible that you have valve train chains and gears getting sloppy but that usually happens well into the high mileage zone--- say over 180K
Art claims to have quieted his motor noise down significantly with heavier weight oil but I don't remember what weight he said... My bet is he is using the 5W30 instead of the 5W20.
Some claim their injectors are very noisy... when I put a hose or stethoscope to my injectors I can barely hear them ticking... they do, but it is very faint. I can not hear them at all with just hood up and my admittedly worn out ears

That's more timing chain noise than anything else - 5w20, the motor sounds just like the day I got it - noticable chain noise. 5w30, chain noise is much less.
Now, you have to realize, that's me, used to Triumph TR7's with big metal CHAINS for their slant 4-cylinder OHC (a version of the same motor in a V8 version must be interesting).
I know a chain when I hear one
If you have an exhaust leak, get that fixed before even trying to figure out anything else. Exhaust manifold noises can quiet down when the engine gets warm.
This "valve noise" - is it the same volume at all throttle positions? Or does it get louder the more go-pedal you apply? If it get's louder, it's exhaust. If it stays the same volume at all times, it's probably valve train.
