New TrucK
Its a 94 F150, 128,000mi, 300ci, 4.9L I-6. Tranny code is M, so I think that is the Mazda M50D, it is a 5spd. 2.73 gears, axle code 12. The engine is nice!!! Exterior needs some work. (Prev owner was a painter and not the kind that paints and fixes rusty trucks
A few problems, it shall keep me busy.I will post pics tommorow or the next day. It was raining today and tommorow it will too. But, if it lets up I will.

Here is my axle tag: S842F 2nd line: 2 73 88 4E24, so I'm guessing 2.73. Anyways going to throw some lucas in there, I got all the pics on the camera.
Will upload tonight. Tranny job went perfect.

If yall are wonderin, I was redoing the plugs in the tranny cause they were leaking. That is why the tools are everywhere
I will post the pics of the job in my gallery. Really easy, I didn't want to drop the tranny because then I would put in a new flywheel, clutch, and pilot bearing and I don't have money for that right now. But, it needed the other work too. Differential fluid was black and put in Lucas and it all should run good now!!
P.S. I will repost ones of my interior after the seat cover and now its clean. I even put new brake and clutch pedal pads on becasue they were wearing thin so it looks nice.

I have a truck of this exact same configuration. While it accelerates like a semi, it does get near 20MPG going 70.
I wonder how an I6 with 3.55 or 4.10s would be off the line..... This truck is not near what my old truck was with the 5.0 302 was, but I don't accelerate hard and love the gas mileage. Plus I find it has enough torque, got me to the lake the other weekend (before I worked on it), love the unmaintained roads

Flareside, as far as I know it is the normal dash, and after this pic was taken more stuff was put up there, lol. It held the tranny fluid, antifreeze, a funnel, several screwdrivers, sockets, pliers, multi-tester, flashlights etc. I guess it is all in the placement of the object or maybe its all in the wrist...
