I will be getting a dog in a couple weeks and I wanted to get some seat covers to protect my KR seats which do not hold up well to scratchs. I also want something that will be water proof and not let water through to the seats. Anybody have any ideas on some good looking seat covers that wont look cheap and will hold up nicely?
I think something like Wet Oklie's would work, something that is thick and definitely waterproof. I have the same interior and don't allow my dogs in my truck (use the wife's suv). As much as I love the KR, next truck will be cloth interior.
If you want a good quality seat cover that fits decent, you are gonna have to spend some$$. I have looked extensively for a decent set for my X and have come to the conclusion it would be more cost effective to recover the stock seats. Just my 2 Cents.
Easy solution: get a dog carrier that fits your dog. Strap it into the bed of the truck. Put the dog in that when you go on trips or wherever you take the dog.
Hatchie Bottom are durable and water resistant. I think the ones I have are codura. (Cabelas?)
They have withstood allot of abuse for a few years now.
Neoprene did not hold up as well for me.
I put a set of Wet Okoles in my 99' F-350 Lariat earlier this year. Fit perfectly and didn't move around when you slid in and out of the truck. They will send you free color samples so you can get the right color too. Like barthel said...on hot days they can make you a little hotter until you get the interior cooled down with the A/C. I got a 4 piece set for my front seats, two piece for the rear. Their website didn't show my rear folding bench (Super Cab) but they did make one. I emailed them photos of my seats to make sure I got the correct ones. I added all the optional pouches and pockets. Great solution in my opinion.

Just saw an infomercial about the Petrider. It may be a cheap alternative if you just intend on hauling the dog around from time to time, and then remove it when not needed.
