Hey fellow truckies, I am quite familliar with the Ford / International Diesel workings however just recently purchased my second diesel 04 Excusion and unlike my other 6.0 trucks the injectors ? cycle for 15 to 20 seconds upon shutdown. Also have p- work from ford stating this is part of a computer re flash update and is normal. My question here is why are these doing this ?

Welcome to FTE !!

The injector cycling was meant to reduce / eliminate injector stiction (pardon the spelling if incorrect). There has since been a later flash that does the same thing in a different way.

There's pages and pages on your "flash" and others in here, just use the search function and we'll see you in a few weeks !!!!

Take some time and go into 'User CP' and add your signature with your trucks information (4x4, Crew/Super/regular cab, long or short bed, special options and modifications) and your location. It helps us help you with any questions or issues.

The 6.0 Tech 'sticky' thread at the top of this forum has loads of info so get a hot cup of coffee and enjoy!

Yes, this site is quite addictive and there are alot of very knowledgeable and helpful users in the 6.0 Forum.
