Heater problem

I have a problem with a 95 f350 4wd with a 460 and a 5 speed. The heater wont heat up. It has a brand new thermostat and the heater core isnt pluged. Does anyone have any advise as to what to check out?

My thoughts are
1) Did it have this problem before thermostat was changed? If so did it ever work right?
2) Thermostat in backwards?
3) 195 degree thermostat? Should be.
4) When thermostat was changed did you bleed the air from the coolant? Necessary!
5a) If your system uses vacuum to shift the blend doors you may have a vacuum leak. This usually shows up earlier as a tendency to shift blend doors during heavy load.
5b) If your system uses an electric actuator to shift the blend doors then the actuator may be bad. Also some of the actuators have a self protection Zener Diode in them which will shunt the voltage if it is supplied voltage over 13.9 volts (memory from 11 years ago when I worked at the place that makes them). By "shunting" I mean that the electricity which would normally be used by the motor and electronics inside the actuator would instead be re-routed away and therefore protect the actuator.

I don't get to this site often so good luck.
