ALT Light
I have a problem that started today. I have a 77 f100 with idiot lights. When the truck was idling everthing was fine. When the truck was moving - ie the gas pedal was pushed down some - the ALT light would flash like a turn signal light. When you let off the gas and as the truck started to slow the light would go out. I stopped somewhere for about 20 min and when I started back up to go home the light stayed out. It has not come on since then.
What does the flashing ALT light mean? Over charging? What should I replace to address this if it is a problem?
Otherwise the truck runs fine.
