Manifold Gasket Replacement?
04, 4.0, 5spd, 4x4, 60,000miles. First my engine was pinging and I couldn't figure out why. Then it started idling high and still couldn't figure it out. And now I have found oil in my coolant and don't really know why. Well there is one explanation that could possible be the cause of all three of these problems and that is a lower intake manifold leaking. Am I correct? Now, while this could be the case I don't know of anyway to be positive that this is the problem before I go replacing things. Any ideas? Do you think these three problems are enough to be pretty sure that the gasket is failing? MAF has been cleaned, Throttle Body has been cleaned, IAC replaced, for the life of me I can't find a leak using a propane torch or carb cleaner. What would you do? Thanks!!!
