It is a really straightforward deal. If you buy an aftermarket CAI it should come with instructions. Some people have made their own, but I don't think there is a DIY floating around for that. I have a CAI and it makes no difference other than noise, I would try to spend the money on something else since the factory air induction system already does a great job of flowing cool air from the fender area.
