As long as you're comfortable wiring up the other functions yourself.

You'd have to add the wires and switches for tele and fold at a minimum.

What about installing the power fold mirrors on a 2008 that didn't come with them? Do you know if I have the powerfold, extend and heat wires already there just not hooked up?

As far as I know, no. Ford has gotten very clever about it and does include any of the extra harnesses needed.

Can anyone with an 08 post pics of their mirrors switches please? I've never been inside an 08 and was wondering where the switches are mounted in case I do this mod. thanks.

The extend and fold controls are intrigrated into the same control that is used for aiming the glass on the standard power mirrors. The control can be set in three modes: aim glass on driver's side, aim glass on passenger's side, or to control the extend/fold of both mirrors. It is a little joystick with up/down/left/right control. I think left/right controls the extend out/in and up/down controls the fold out/in. This control is located on the driver's arm rest.

edit: ohh yea, 2008 also has a seperate switch for the mirror heat control. It is a button next to the A/C button on the dashboard. Press the button once and the mirror heat is turned on until you press the button agian or after 15 minuets it automatically turns off, I think.

So everything is controlled by one switch? I was under the impression that there were 2-3 switches that did controlled the mirrors. I looked at the dfuser website for the switches and it shows two switches that control the telescoping and folding. I dunno though. That's why I wanted to see a picture of it. Thanks.

The dfuser kit comes with the extra switches to control telescoping/folding so that you can install the 2008 mirrors on a non-2008 truck. It is easier to install extra generic switches and use the old control to adjust the angle of the glass. It would be more difficult (and expencive) to install the complicated 2008 OEM joystick mirror control unit on an old truck.

Goat,
Alright, now I get it. I think I'm better off just getting the heated and power ones instead of the power folding/telescoping ones. Seems to much work and too complicated to do.

just wondering my truck has the switch in it but the mirrors arent power(if they are they were broken when i got the truck) Is it possible that it has the switch without powermirrors? If it does would the wires still be there or would i have to wire the switch?

Heres a pic from an 08. There are 2 switches that control all of the mirrors adjustments. The one in the middle (the round one) controls the power adjust and the power fold, the bottom one (has arrows pointing left and right) controls the power telescope function.

I am waiting for appropriate opportunity to correctly use the power fold. At this point in my life, I am a die hard Ford PSD owner. AS SUCH, I fully intend to pass as many Dodge 3500 dually's and depress the power fold button as I pass them. I almost did it yesterday, but with the wife in the truck, supper would have be cold, very cold. Pull the button back, and they fold fast. Maybe we should wave to Chevs. & GMC's too.
