starting problem
Hello All, I am new to this site. I hope I can get some help. Have a 2001 Explorer with a V-6 SOHC. Will no start no clicking noise from the starter battery is good tried changing with one from other car, tried using spare key. As I said before do not hear the solenoid at all, all lights come on. Problem was intermitten now the Explorer has been sitting for 2days. Any help would be appreciated.

Still have problem but not had time to spend on it. 12Vdc from bat to start motor, but am not getting 12Vdc to coil;when ign. switch turned, my starter relay is not be energized. Thinking bad switch but would like to be sure do not have wiring dia. for column. Does anyone have experience replacing ignition switch? Any help would be appreciated

It's a shame you dont have the EVTM as it shows how to test the ignition switch which is simple enough to do.
Maybe one of the other guys will have the 01 explorer EVTM.
