You should go for it! I don't think it would be too bad for the street as long as the cam lift and duration profiles aren't too wild. (look pretty good). You would know the meaning of torque with that kit!!
I am trying to think of where I can go find a good 351 since you posted this but I was told I don't need another engine!
when i did the motor in the crew cab, had it bored .030 and a couple of other things done, you're right the machine shop costs really made it expensive. Now thinking of maybe, possibly, perhaps, maybe selling the crew cab. so all things come and go
This would make for a lively truck, next best thing to a 351/427 stroker!
Of course shares in one of the oil companies would be a nice item.
I`m not sure what this would do for fuel mileage but I don`t think it would be great......But the think of the fun.
Hmm... No conecting rods so more $$$ and toss that stupid high volume oil pump in the junk bin. A high volume pump is only good for a half wornout engine otherwise your just wasting hp on a rebuild.
yeah fuel mileage is something i would like to keep reasonable too, another reason to hesitate. i think i'll stay with the cam, headers, intake and carb.
Fuel mileage and power can be improved upon with the right combo of oe and after market parts.
