Bud Ekins
Bud Ekins passed Saturday 6 Oct. at 77 yrs. Bud was probably best known as the driver of the airborne Mustang in the movie "Bullit" and the motorcycle jump over the barbed wire fence in "the Great Escape". Also "Diamonds Are Forever", "The Blues Brothers", "Earthquake".

A very talented stuntman.
I first saw Bullitt when it came out in 1968 in a movie theater (big screen).
That chase scene had everyone moving as though they were in the driver's seat.
The driver/hitman driving the Charger 440 Magnum (Bill Hickman) was also a stunt driver.
He also stunt drove in The French Connection and The Seven-ups.
They were excellent drivers.

Didn't know their names but I always thought they had great jobs. Getting paid to drive a vehicle like that, and with several takes, too!

Speaking of Bullitt and hills; I may have "accidentally" "slightly" "kind of" gone just a bit faster than needed to keep the wheels of my old '67 Mustang Fastback on the pavement. 
I may have done the same with my truck.
We do have a few hills here.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeee!
