ball joints please help

autozone has online repair manuals. try looking there. i don't know how to do them myself, but it should be under the front end section for your truck in their manual. It even lists the torque specs for everything.

I was looking at the front end setup on 83's and I think I have a pin instead of
ball joints how do I get that out and also I thought my ball joints where to worn
out but there is no ball joints is it the wheel bearings then?

My 86 F250 2 wheel drive has king pins and bushings (no ball joints) I thought it couldn't be that hard, so I took it all apart. Then I found out the bushings have to be pressed in, then they need to be machained to fit the new king pins. I took the spindles and new parts to a local machine shop and paid them a nominal fee to press the bushings in and machine them to fit the king pins. disassembly and assembly isn't too bad.
