Stock Boost PSI??

What is expected to be the stock boost we all see at WOT?

I just bought an Edge Evolution 2 and have been scanning and saw the following:

Stock Pgm: 16 lbs
Pgm1: 18 lbs
Pgm2: 21 lbs
Pgm3: Unkown (haven't tried it yet)

Do these numbers seem a little low? It's running smooth and WELL on the programmer's modes, but feels like a cement truck stock.

If these numbers are on, then good.

If not, what could be wrong? Where do I look first?

I am getting P0603 occasionally, also, P1211 sometimes at WOT when I'm in Pgm 2 and the truck is warmed up.

Your good suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I get about:

17 Stock
24 DP-Tuner 40 Tow
26 DP-Tuner 80 Econ

I have a 4 inch turbo back MBRP exhaust, and the Ford AIS intake, plus the DP-Tuner of course.

I get P1211 codes on 80E if I keep the petal down too long. I think I got a P1211 one time on 40Tow. Have not investigated my cause of P1211, just learned to drive such that I don't get that code. I don't own a reader, so it's a pain to get it cleared.

Anyone live in the SF South Bay and have auto enginuity that I could borrow?

Thanks Gabe. Now we're getting somewhere. You're definitely seeing more boost than I am. One more lb in stock form isn't too concerning. My Pgm 1 is also a Tow mode, but supposed to be a 60 Hp adder so shouldn't I se at least 24 lbs to your 40 Hp setting? Also, I am getting the P1211 code pretty often on the Pgm 2 setting (80 Hp -- supposedly). I only see 21 lbs there so that seems low too?

So what could be causing my low boost P's?? I am already bracing myself to get an additional HPOP. Some research I've done, points me in that direction.

Any ideas? Anyone else?

EDITED: BTW, I am reading boost at the stock MAP sensor as displayed by the Edge Display via the ALDL port (under the dash). I guess there could be some variance in how the programmer/display indicates correct levels and where another person's sensor is installed to measure boost.

Well, the simplest is to look for a boost leak. I have never had one that I know of, but I've heard that you can see oily residue coming out of a boot that is leaking. You might just try to tighten down all the boot staps.

I have also heard that up pipes, up from the exhaust manifold to the turbo, can leak and thus not drive the turbo as hard.

Also, how restrictive is your air intake? Maybe you are not flowing enough air?

Ya, that's a good point. I have T-ed the line going to the MAP sensor and am using a mechanical dial boost gauge.

Hopefully this won't double post...

I would bet that the T'd mechanical gauge could see more boost because there's a natural referrence there rather than a conversion. That's okay, I'd still like to compare to someone else's gauge like mine someday but for now this is good information.

So, now that I have some minor mods, I have more questions and so I'll begin a new thread.
