Looking for some HP
Hi all,
My neighbor has a 97 F150 with the 4.6 and is looking for some additional HP. He pulls a trailer and was thinking of the following:
Cold air kit and a chip.
What do you guys think? Anything else he should try?

Looking for some HP
Don't forget the Throttle body spacer and the mass air flow sensor, the are both said to raise hp by anywhere from 10-20 hp depending on what vender your talking to. Hold on to your hat when they price the air flow sensor they ain't cheap! Also look at exhaust, gibson and flowmaster both have bolt up kits that will give it a kick in the pants and a better sound. I looked into the same thing for my 97 2WD 4.6 and you can get about 45 more Foot Pounds of Torque to the rear tires by doing the following:
1. Upgraded Headers
2. K&N Air Flow up front and a new after CAT exhaust system in the back.
3. 4.10 Ring and Pinion set.
