Headliner with built in speakers....?
#16
I would highly recommend installing some sound deadening material. When I redid my headliner, I covered the roof area with Dynamat Extreme. I lined the door skin with it when I had the door panels off. I can tell a big difference in the doors, for sure. When they close, it's a nice solid thunk now.

It;s 2 AM and I just got through listening to music for 30 minutes with my new headliner, It's just like Seventmine said, like listening to headphones. I love it so far. It really sounds great but I have only listened in the garage so far. Instalation was not bad at all and I managed to do it by myself. I put upgraded speakers in and insulated everything real well. It seems to be well constructed and it looks very good too. Pictures coming tomorrow.

Pictures are now in my gallery. Sorry it took so long to get done. My wife had me doing lots of honey do jobs. Useless stuff like fixing the dishwasher and winterizing the house. I just wanted to get to my truck.
Anyway, I drove around all afternoon listening to my stereo. It sounds great, very clear and distinct. It really is like listening to headphones. I haven't put anything in the center consol yet. I may add an overhead cb. I recommend it.
