Replace Main Throttle Lever?

I just acquired a FREE Holley carburetor, barely used. The only thing is, the idiot previous owner cut and welded the main throttle lever, and it looks rather flimsy, not to mention UGLY.

How hard would it be to replace the entire main throttle lever? Has anyone done this before?

You can change out the throttle shaft. It isn't too hard. Sometimes the throttle blade screws can be hard to remove, they are soft in case they fall out, to keep from damaging the engine.
