im looking in to getting a new truck and been looking at some 99-01 f-250s and f-350s. dont know much about them so i basiclly want a quick overview of them if possible on everything good and bad and what i need to look for when buying one and what goes wrong. i know about the oil pans and i did find a really nice 99 but the guy said the pan is on its way out prob a year left how do i go about that and also he told me that at idle it is louder then normal (no mods) but when driving it is fine. he said someone looked at it and said that 99s have that problem with the conveter or flexplate grinding out or something. so that kind of scared me away since i dont know anything about the trucks. any help would me great to point me in the right direction of getting something nice. thanks
