Who is this stinky one? With the little black nose... Stuffing itself into my face To plant wet slurps that others think disgusting!
I give it this - I can tell it loves STUPID in many ways But so am I And thus we have it in common
How did I come by you? WHY do I need you so... I cannot bear to be without you NUISANCE that you at times are
But though you poop where I wish you had not Drag home things that I wish you had not brought Remind neighbors of what I wish they had forgot Something about you is something I want
I can't imagine being away Not to see your obnoxious tail sway WAPPING off tables the thing there I'd laid Thinking they'd be safe from you today.
You puzzle and frustate me in many ways And I know you understand many things that I say All you ever seem to want to do is play Until I give up training you anyway
But there is a secret here and it's true How I'd rather not be me but be you It can't really happen I know But in your tail wagging, there I go
Trust in a simple one, digging in the garden All past transgressions recently forgotten Until at night it is time to come home Because of my PUPPY I am not alone
I love them cause they never much care about what we are doin', as long as we do it together. They also remind me of a little kid from a long time ago that's not a little kid anymore. It goes beyond the unquestioned loyalty they have. I don't remember who the writer was, but it was something like " I know of few men who will get to heaven, but I am quite certain of many dogs who will". Wish i had it right.
Rufuss is still here, his Mom and Sister had to go because I could not afford to feed all of us (sounds terrible, I know).
I also couldn't let the siding on the back porch be chewed to pieces anymore by his sister, and can't deal with another litter of puppies.
I've sold some non-essentials, and should have given 2 of them up long ago. I knew also that I could not give all of them the attention they needed.
Rufie is special in ways you would have to see to understand. Poking his nose under the truck to lick me while I'm hassling with a true pain in the backside transmission is a part of that - he made me laugh!
I was greasy and didn't want to mess up his fur, but later on I noticed he had slept (or rolled) in a bunch of spilled oil...
So long as I can keep a shop - he's got a place in it!!!
Rufus is a low-buck Hotrodders dog. I used to call him ROB ROY, but it didn't quite fit. Fufie fits him to a "T"
Rufuss also did not have to be taught to 'Heel'. If I go walking around the developement at night, he rubs against my legs as we go walking together. No leash at all
