Well my xbox 360 fried itself today I got the "3 Red Lights of Death", after only owning the thing for 2 months!!! Not to mention I lost all the progress on all of my games.
As you can probably imagine I'm extremly pissed off about this, I paid $500 for this thing and now it's dead. I'm going to take it back to where I bought it from and hopefully they'll take it back. If not I have to deal with the Micro$oft and send it in for repair. What a fun process that is going to be . Maybe I'll just fly to Micro$oft headquarters with my Xbox, light the thing on fire and throw it through the front window .
Microsoft was really easy to deal with when we had problems with our 360. About a year after we bought it the disc drive stopped working. They sent us a UPS box, we dropped it off at the UPS store and a week later we had another 360. Less than a year later that one got the red circle problem. MS sent us another box, we dropped that one off and about 3 weeks later they sent us a brand new 360 with the new version of the hard drive. They also sent us a free month of xbox live and a bunch of points for opening online content on the games.
It sucked not having the system for a few weeks, but it didn't cost me anything but time to get it fixed.

I hear you man, it's bad enough the 360 broke, and with microsoft knowing that 30% of all 360's sold will become expensive doorstops, they still insist on making you go through a long waiting period.
my friend's Nintendo Wii quit working and nintendo sent him a shipping box and a brand new Wii at the same time. It took one week for everything to arrive. he sent the old Wii back and hooked up the new Wii on the same day. thats good support.
lol my 360 3 red ligfhted itself too, funny since i rarely play it... got remanufactured one from micro for 130 bucks (was out of warrenty) then bought tha extended warrenty in case it did it again...day after i recieved confirmation, microsoft announced it was extending the factory warrenty to a year... i could go complain since micro headquarters is only a 4 hour drive away but they repaid the $$ i put out so its all good
I've been thinking of getting an Xbox but these stories are kind of scaring me away from them. I love my PS2 and it's been trouble free for 5 years and I'd love to get a PS3, but I don't know if any gaming system is going to be as reliable an older system since they do everything under the sun now.
Well I got lucky I originally bought the thing from walmart and they only offer a 30 day return policy but for some reason they took it back no question asked so now I have a brand new xbox again. It still sucks that I lost all my progress on my games but w/e I'll play just play 'em through again.
freirefishing madden 08 is a pretty good game but it's got some quirks, like fumbling the ball almost to much and when playing on 'pro' its almost impossible to complete passes but when playing on 'rookie' its too easy there isn't any in between. All in all it's still a good game, especially with the improvements to superstar mode.
You know whats funny? I just dug through the storage shed and found my old Sega Genesis and 12 games! My wife even has her Nintendo with about 20 games. I think I'll go old-school for awhile.
