GM guy looking for Ford info

Hi everyone. I just found this site while searching for info about a Taurus. Not a Ford Truck but there was still some good Taurus info here. I'm a GM drivability Tech, who was recently given this 98 Taurus wagon by my brother-in-law. He drove it for years with the SES light on. Since this is what I do for a living, I want to fix this, but I'm actually quite suprised how different Ford is, as compared to GM. Started with about 8 codes. The new DPFE took care of the EGR codes. Tune up & basic maintainance has the car running good. My wife likes driving it ( good cup holders, cold AC & more room than our Cavalier ). The problem I have is a P1309 code. I will go to a Tech area to ask my questions, Thanks, Ron

Congrats on coming over to the Ford side and good luck with the Taurus.
