Sounds like a good deal if you can trust someone else besides Ford to cast a 427 side oiler. It wouldn't seem right to me as I look under the hood and see "Genesis" cast into the block instead of the familliar FoMoCo, C7AE-A, 352, ect. It is bad enough that I have to see Edelbrock cast on my manifold.
Is getting in on the first production run really a good deal? I would prefer to wait until I know it is a good product rather than be someone else's "test monkey".
It sounds as if Genesis is at least trying to beef them up a little with siaemesed cylinder walls, thicker deck, deeper threaded holes, and larger cross-bolts, but only time will tell.
Was anyone able to find the Genesis article at www.cobraforum.com as stated in that letter? Are there any pictures of the engine block? I hope their product is better than the quality of their web page!
How do I convey news I consider interesting and useful.
I gather forwarding the entire email was the wrong thing to do.
I'd been waiting for the news in that mail for months and was excited to share it.
The email was an ad they put together. If you want to convey the news, say what the news is and post a link but please don't post their advertisements/press release. :-)
