Well, we're back home now. 10650 Km in total. Left Chicago Friday morning and got home last night around Midnight. That is a BIG town!!!!!
Didn't have any more complications with the truck. Man, she likes to do the long hauls. Kept the tuner on High perf the whole trip. Only saw 1200 degrees a couple times, but saw 20+ PSI boost a few times.
I don't want to see the fuel bill, but it was a great trip. Only 1 day of rain. (on PEI) The rest of the trip, the weather was great. Saw some really neat stuff, visited some old friends. It was very good. Time for a nap.
Good stuff Dave, better your glad to back home now after all those miles of driving. Just the mention of driving thru Chicago sends chills down my spine!
Great to hear about your truck behaving so well and only the one day of rain.
Any more trips planned for next year now that your hooked?
I think even I've had enough driving for right now. Although my wife did drive about 4 hours in total on the trip so I can't claim it all. I was thinking ahead about Chicago and drove through it during the night. As soon as we got through though, we pulled into a truck stop and bunked down for the rest of the night. It took about 2 hours @50-60 mph to get throught the city. That was a very long day on Friday.......
i'm sure glad i didn't go stateside on our trip. and i drove the whole way... every stinking inch. did you take the 11 highway through ON?? or did you go along the great lakes?? pop some pics in here while you're at it!!
Speaking of trips..............Bouts will be heding home tomorrow from Afghanistan for 2.5 weeks of well deserved holiday then back over to complete the tour which ends in Dec. It is going to be cold and raining in Winnipeg tomorrow so he will freeze and probably catch pheaumonia.
Man, she likes to do the long hauls. Kept the tuner on High perf the whole trip. Only saw 1200 degrees a couple times, but saw 20+ PSI boost a few times.
Both the 7.3 and the 6.0 run completely different with a tuner - way better IMHO!
Welcome home!
Sherm, I'll see what I can do about the pics. We're on dial-up, but I'll get a couple on.
Hey, did I mention that I got to drive the truck on the formula 1 track in Montreal???? I forgot myself. VERY cool!!!!!!
Bouts is over Cdn. airspace as we speak-should be arriving in Mtl. any time now, clean customs then hop on another plane for Winnipeg. It is pouring rain and 7c-I'm going to bring him a hot coffee and lots of vita. C plus his winter jacket.
