Unhappy missing bronco

Anybody else here regret selling a Bronco they used to own?
I had an 84 351w/4brl/c6/9in with 33in mudders and a little lift. xlt loaded. Ever since i've been thinking of getting one again.
I can't decide if I should get the same gen., go older, or newer. I like the idea of solid axle for the older ones, but have always liked the 80's front end. How hard are SAS on these broncos? Doesn't seem like it would be to bad..

I just sold my 84 and I know the empty feeling you get when you get rid of a good truck. I would suggest looking at something newer for a daily driver/climber but if you are going all out wheeling then go for the older model. The early 80’s had a lot of emissions equipment on them and the body’s had a Big problem with Rust. I replaced mine with a 95 I salvaged from the wrecking yard. It rides better then my 84 and it’s fuel injected so no more carburetor problems on hills. The overdrive is nice to I’m getting 13mpg at my altitude with my 5.8L/E4OD and that’s a lot better then 7-9mpg. In my 84 5.8/c6

I like my 89. But am prepping up for the SAS front axle with dana 44 out of a 79. I average about 14 or so MPG with the 302 and AOD tranny. Both seem to be holding up well. I run 33's in the summer and 32s for the winter.
