Cavitation-definition?
I have read in this section before about some saying that the 7.3 was more prone to cavitation than the 6.9 (I think they said due to cylinder wall thickness?). I was just talking with another member in the 80-86 forum and I am at a loss to explain it correctly. Could someone give me quick rundown?

Cavitation is the formation of tiny bubbles on the cylinder walls in the coolant. When they burst the tend to wear at the metal of the walls. Same thing happens to a boat prop when it's not trimmed correctly. 7.3's have thinner walls.
