Im considering adding water methanol to my Kenne bell supercharged V10, I called kenne bell and asked them and they said it would be ok and that i could go to an 8 psi pulley, if i get a conservative tune so that if it runs out dose anyone have any idea on how much power i would gain? and am i getting close to stressing the engine to much with all the stuff im adding? deffinantly dont want to through a rod or somthing. Also i am concerned about unevaporated water to build up in the plenum, can this happen or am i thinking to much about this also, can my 4r100 trans hold up to more power, or should i do a shift kit first? any advise on would be helpful thanks, Sick of getting beat by diesels.

With a conservative tune you should pic up between 20 and 40 HP. It is a great addition to a non intercooled KB set up.
When I was running a non intercooled KB I was getting about 60 HP with a safe tune.
It would be a good idea to get a valve-body for your tranny. It will prolong it's life!
Factory tech makes a good one.
Dont want to start a new thread but it seems that this weekend raced a few trucks and my truck did ok but not what i think it used to, Ok so my first question is that i have 3.73 ls rear end and stock tires are 265 right now I'm running 315 with 16 inch rim MT mud terrains, how big of a diff does this make with 0-60 times? also the last time i pinned it the AFR gauge read 10.2 until it shifted and went to 16 for a while then let off till it went to like 15 and pinned it again and when right back down? could my plugs be fouling out from to rich of an AFR and also it seems that it takes alot longer for my shifts to take place, and my plugs are gaped at 35 thou, any input would be great
We need some more information!
How much boost are you running?
What size mass air and injectors?
Kinda sounds like a fueling problem in the higher RPMs. You may be maxing out you MAF sensor.
10.2 is rich and 16 and 15 is way lean!
My AFR holds at 11.5 @ WOT, witch is a little on the conservative side but that's how I want it.
6 psi of boost, 36 pound injectors and stock mass air flow, I think that it must have been my injectors shutting off for some reason because that was the first time i experienced any thing like that, and now it just goes straight to 10.2 until i come out of the boost. right now I'm thinking that i need to re gap my plugs because 10.2 is very rich, the plugs I'm running are NGK 1 heat range cooler gaped at 35 thou.
thanks for the advice
Theres no FMU, my kit came with one but when i ran it on the duno it had varying AFR from like 14 one run to 15.5 at WOT so i had to go with bigger injectors and a new chip from kenne bell, so the fuel set up is a boost a pump with vacume switch and bigger injecors. THey wernt locked up ( i dont think) more like when letting off gas and the engine slows and the AFR gauge goes to 16 somethimes like when getting off an on ramp. the most i think that i have ever seen my fuel pressure at at WOT is mabey 50 psi.
figured it out, the other nigh pulled out onto the road and started heavy accelerating at abot 1/2 trotel vacume gauge read 0 inches and the AFR read 14 to 15, then after a minite i put it to the floor and the vacume went to 6 psi and as it was going there the AFR went to 16 for a second then droped down to 11 to 10, cant explain it but i think what happened the other noght was that when i saw it go to 16 i let off a little shutting off injectors keping it at 16 then got back on it and saw it was still 16 and then after the AFR cought up it was at 10, so i think thats what happened not sure though because i didnt think it used to do this so im going to keep an eye on it, but thanks for the help
