Removal instrument cluster 2000 Explorer

I put your second post in the Explorer forum. Should get some help there.

Dosen't look hard at all. A repair shop should be able to do it in under an hour.....
It is not hard to do yourself. Standard hand tools and sockets.
Remove front kick panel under steering column on dash. There are 4 bolts on the bottom side (one on each side and two holding hood release handle - 7mm I believe.
Remove crush plate that is behind kick panel. Should be 8mm bolts I think. You really do not have to remove the plate altogether, just loosen the bolts so the plate will pull out some so you can access the bolts in the instrument bezel.
Remove 2 bolts that hold the radio bezel in. They are just above A/C controls. You do not have to remove the radio, just remove the bolts and slide the bezel out so the instrument bezel can come out around it.
Remove 3 bolts holding instrument bezel in place. 7mm. Then remove 2 bolts on bottom of bezel - one on each side of the steering column.
Lower steering wheel to lowest position.
Pull the instrument bezel out and unplug the headlight switch and dimmer switch so you can remove it out of the way.
You will then see the bolts on the sides of the instrument cluster. Should be four of them - 7mm I think. Remove those.
Pull the cluster toward you twisting it so you can unplug the harnesses on the back. Also remove the shift panel. There are two squeeze pins on the bottom to do this.
After doing what you need, reverse directions.
I don't think I forgot anything, but itis really not a hard procedure. Normall takes around an hour the first time for someone who is paying attention and remembering it as they go. I've done it so much I can replace a cluster - in and out - in half an hour...
