I have an 89 f250 460 and wanna know how to tell if it has a heated oxygen
sensor or not. As it is the O2 sensor appears to be mounted to a solid block
of metal welded between the exhaust tubes just before it enters the catilytic
converter.
And also would like to know whats steps to take for pulling codes on the same truck?
If you go back to the main page http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/ you'll see more info about all the different sensors. If you sensor has 3 or 4 wires it's heated.
The reason for this all is I have this wierd thing going on and Im trying to trouble shoot the problem. In another post it was mentioned that I may have a bad MAP sensor, but that part seems to simple to go bad, so im trying to figure out just what exactly causes my truck to ping, empty going up a hill at 6-8% grade, and run great loaded going up and over 6% grade, 3500ft pass???
