I need all new trim for the inside, i've found some door panels and they're for manual windows. i have automatic, but i would prefer manual. my question is, how hard it is to convert auto. to manual??
It's a matter of replacing the power regulator with a crank one.
Are the window motors inop?
Personally I prefer the power windows especially being able to easily roll down the passenger window to vent the heat out after the truck sits in the sun all day.

Not quite true, albeit I did this so I could put fresh lube on the regulator. There are three dimples on the door where Ford forgot a better idea. Drill those dimples out just large enough so that a 5/16 nut driver or socket will go through them, and voila! You can drop the motor without removing the regulator. Seems the put the dimples on the '86 T-Bird too, but alas, were still forgetting to open them up to holes in '92 on the trucks. I'd post pics, but unfortunately, like I said, I too removed the regulators.
Word of warning. WEAR LONG SLEEVES!!!! Ford has an employee whose sole job is to file and sharpen any sheet metal edge that won't leave you needing at least 15 stitches. I'm usually bleeding like a stuck pig when I do any work on my doors.
Aaahh...It's all coming back to me now, I did drill holes to replace the motors on my '88 F150. Like you said there are dimples where you place the drill bit.
I drilled mine to slip a 1/4" drive 8mm socket.
