I have a '99 V8 Explorer. Recently when I start the vehicle first thing in the morning it idles low and sometimes stalls. I have noticed what sounds like a quick backfire when I start the car occassionally. Today when I started it at lunch the CEL was illuminated. Any ideas on what could be going on? IAC?
Mason, not sure if it is... but in mine I had a poor idle because the throttle body was old and the seals on it were letting too much air in. It did eventually throw a code for that.
