OK, my right side turn signal is acting up and I want to see if anyone else is having any issues like this. Or if someone knows what is wrong.
2005 F-250 CC and when I turn on my right turn signal the sound (clicking) is very fast and the signal on my dash is not on. If I wait anywhere from 5-30 seconds, the lights finally work correctly. I figure burned out bulb...back is working, but front and side view mirror is not working. I buy a bulb for the front, Pep Boys couldn't find a bulb for the mirror. I replace, and it's still happening.
yeah sounds like a short or something... if the LED's are not working. maybe one of the wires near the front bulb are rubbing against something and shorting them out???? that is tough to figure out..
On the way home today, everytime it acted like it wouldn't work, I would hit the steering wheel and EVERYTIME it fixed it until the blinker went off. Turn it back on, and hit the steering wheel = works. I think it might be a loose connection under my dash. If it were a short, it would most likely pop the fuse.
Had the same problem with my 2000 also (except no mirror lites) ended up changing the turn signal switch twice (first one worked but only lasted a few months) after that the second one lasted over a year then I sold the truck

I have two questions for you, how much was the switch and how hard was it to install? Or did you pay to have it installed?
It's definitely the turn signal stalk. Mine has been doing it for 2-3 months on the right side. On mine, if I use the signal in the passing mode it operates normally so it hasn't been a high priority.
The stalk is pretty easy to replace...remove a couple of screws under your steering column and look for the screws holding the stalk in place remove the connector and replace the stalk.
I have a similar problem. Nothing happens when I use the turn signal switch, other than some faint buzzing like an electrical short. The hazard lights work except; only the left turn indicator on the dash flashes and the right front and mirror do not flash. All the fuses ar okay.
I have not fixed it yet. If I just hold the stalk against the bump, than it works. I want to see if I can buy the parts and do it myself. Been a little busy with work to do that.
I just bought a replacement multifunction switch ($91.16) and it fixed the problem. I had taken the switch apart, but it is not serviceable, parts flew in all directions. It was easy to replace.
I looked on the Internet and there was a few that were cheaper, but I do not think they were "Ford". My original switch was made in Poland and the replacement Mexico. I would try one of the cheap ones, it could not be made any worse than the Ford one. The parts guy said they sell a lot.
I have just recently had similar issues. Yesterday, for the first time, my 2000 F250 Diesel turn signals started acting up – here are the observed symptoms:
With either parking or headlights ON, the left works fine but the right side does not work (no switching or external blinking, but the internal right arrow stays ON permanently)
With the lights off, both left and right work, but when the right turn signal blinks, on the OFF cycle the dash (gages, radio, ect) all light up. Basically the right turn signal works, but the dash looks like a Christmas tree.
With the hazards on, with the lights ON, neither the right nor left flash, but with the lights OFF, all lights flash and the interior lights flash as well.
All bulbs are good. Hmm, what else… I have nurf bars with LEDs installed, which I wired up to the truck per the instructions, which normally are ON with the lights, and blink with the turn signals. Bothe right and left are not lite now. I might disconnect these to see if there is a connection, but they worked perfectly up till very recently.

I have this exact same problem with my 2003 F-250. I replaced the flasher but the problem still remains could it be something that can be fixed out of the shop or do I need to take it to the Ford house?
