So your welfare system in NY is, just as crappy as the one here in MN. There are a lot of people who leach off the system here. But anyway I like the what our Governor does for the those people on welfare here in MN, If your on welfare and have no kids the gov't find you a menial gov't job to do and you have to work 40hrs a week. If you have 1 kid you have to work 30hrs a week and if you have 2+ kids you have to work 20hrs a week. And then the people on welfare complained because they said they weren't getting paid for those work hours, so our governor replied what do you think your welfare check is.
AMEN EaTmYtAiLpIpEs!! I know what you mean. Of course the rest of us "upstaters" would be a lot better off if we ditched the lower half of this state. I am about as 'anti' welfare as possible....presonally, I am all for "work"-fare. Why does the state pay a private contractor to clean up the trash on the highways? I'd rather have the welfare recipients do it, and get paid for it...at least the taxpayers of the state are getting something for their money then. Another personal pet peeve of mine.....having more kids to get a bigger welfare check! Dam the burns me! I think for every kid pas the first 2 they ouoght to get a reduction in there check!!
Try living in the Gulf Coast of Texas. We have all the Katrina evacuees that wont go back home. Dont mean to offend anyone but................ I know exactly how ya feel!!
I like to think of myself as a work aholic like most of you's on here. I work for what I own. I work as much as I can to earn some money to buy extra things. I own a boat, seadoo, atv, truck, fifth wheel, cell phone. And I work for it. I don't rely on other people to pay and give me money for my bills.
