Stiff Powersteering?
should it be very difficult to turn the wheel when i first start the car and am moving? i have no problems turning once i'm moveing, and when the car's sitting still. but when i back out of my drive way, or a parking lot at school, and turn the wheel to go, i get a "honda manual steering rack" feel (aka its semi dificult to turn the wheel). My parent's 4.0's have no problem what so ever... but mine's a 3.0 so maybe that has something to do whith it? i doubt it though.
also, my pump has been replaced with a remanufactured pump (it says so on the pump) but sounds like i have a super charger installed in my car, even when i'm driving. could the u-joints in the steering shaft be going bad? i randomly hear a poping noise, but all steering wheel buttons work, no lights come on etc.
oh and yeah there's fluid in the pump. lots of fluid. lol
last thing, there's no visual leaks
nice titty pink light almost sweet oil smell or
brown/black top cat pee
???
does it squeel like a cat going thru the fan only when turning the wheel at low speeds or all the time.
the ps belt pulley may be slipping
some years/Aero models had a pwr steering pressure sense switch that increased the engine idle rpms in low speed 0 throttle turns.
helped keep the engine from stalling out from extra load and increased ps hydraulic pressure

then test for any binding in steering
ball joints and the inner and outer tie rod ends are the usual culprits.
wife used to have a car she only let her shop touch until a tie rod broke while she was driving.
scared her so back, she let me take over service and she never went back to that shop
search the Aero forum for power steering flush and change
run 2 quarts or more of the cheap stuff thru it until it comes out titty pink, use DextronIII/Mercon, run for 50 miles or more with the cheap stuff
then do final flush with Mobil 1 ATF, get 2 qts
put a soup can over the pwr steering fill cap, they leak in water from cowl area
if howl continues it's just common with the poor design of the FoMoCo pump
add a half bottle of Lubeguard's Red or their Pwr Steering additive.
don't put any of the other off the shelf products in, all worthless and most damage pwr steering systems especially the fragile seals
pwr steering fluid should be changed every 25k miles or more often in town driving or heavy delivery
titty pink? top cat pee?
You know don't you that they have sent "UP" people at Walla Walla for less than that! The only cure for you that I suggest is to watch 3 hours of tellatubbies and to do a 5 page report on how many white feathers poor ol' big bird has coming out of his head now from Sesame street.
titty pink? Really!? slap SLAP
or more of a pastel pink
bring those pink telletubbies around here and I'll run over them with the F350 stump jumper, they can lick the diff covers as I crush their fat fuzzy pink bodies
Now do you see how easy that was? I'm so so proud of you.
You're talking now like a **** kicker from the south. I can see you now, eatin' turnips, shootin' squirels out of trees, flossing your te
eth =(gap between them) with a blade of grass pulled out of the grill of your F-350. Heck, with your new and improved attitude I can imagine you on Jerry Springer. Please, PLEASE don't kick my Illinois azz. I learned this from the 3rd grade. How about I trade you my bologna sandwich and chips for your snickers bar so we can be friends?
Just playin'------Respectfully Boz
ps------would you please give me my Power Rangers and my Sheera dolls back. I gave you your own smurf's set last X-mas.

But sometimes spring of reduction valve is broken ore valve is shot. Check it too.
Dealers use gauge and adapter to measure pressure in PS line when steerinh wheel is turned to lock. As I remember it is about 60 BAR for aero.
