Thumbs up

I worked with a retired ssgt for several years. A real standup kind guy.
Thanks for you service and congrats on the promotion.

Promotions are awesome. I'm a crusty old retired AF SNCO and rather enjoyed getting promoted. Loved seeing my troops getting them too. Really made my day when one the "bad" kids got their poop together and the boss and I were finally able to promote them. It were fun, especially if we busted their chops first...Congrats Marine, well deserved no doubt.

congrats! i got out as an e6.

we celebrated one of the Marines we worked with when he picked up ssgt, part of the cadre, pretty wild nite and lazy day after, then the following year another guy picked up gunny, of course they handed him new orders along with it.

My Son Is a staff sergeant. He loves the Marines, but he loves his kids and wife also. He has been in Iraq three times, and he will probably go a 4th before he gets out next year. He wants to settle down with his family now.

Congrats on your ssgt,s. I, being an army guy, it makes you feel proud.

GO MARINES!
